Rules
If you decide to play Baccarat live, there are some specific rules that you have to follow.
There are two sides in the game - Banker and Player. Each of them is dealt two cards, sometimes it may be necessary to deal a third card. The first card is dealt to the Player. All the dealt cards are face up. The ultimate goal of the game is to form a hand that is as close to or equal to nine (9) as possible. The result of the game is a draw, if both the banker and the player have the same number of points.
The cards from two (2) to nin (9), have their point value. The ace is one point, while the 10, J, Q, K equate to zero. If there is a two-digit number, the first digit is ignored and the second value is taken as the final one.
If the first two cards of the player or the delaer total eight (8) or nine (9), the hand is called a "natural" and it wins automatically. Of course if both hands have equal value, in this case it's a tie.
In case the player has a hand from zero (0) to five (5), then he receives a third card. If he has a higher hand, he is not dealt a third card. It is then determined whether the Banker will receive a third card:
1. The banker total is two (2) or less: draws a card, regardless of what the opponent's third card is.
2. The dealer total is three (3): draws a third card unless the opponent's third card was an 8.
3. The banker total is four (4): draws a third card if the opponent's third card was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
4. The dealer total is five (5): draws a third card if the opponent's third card was 4, 5, 6, or 7.
5. The banker total is six (6): draws a third card if the opponent's third card was a 6 or 7.
6. The Dealer total is seven (7): stands.
