In addition to the main American Baccarat, there are also Chemin de fer Baccarat and Baccarat Punto Banco.
Chemin de Fer is a variety of baccarat that originates in France and the goal here is the same. To get a hand as close as possible to the value of 9 - the calculations are done in the same way as American baccarat. Here, however, every player can be a banker and there is no way to bet on a player or a banker. Each player goes in the order of a banker, as the bank rotates counter clockwise. Also, you do not have to play as a banker, you can give up your order. The casino receives a commission of 5% and its only task is to monitor compliance with the rules. Here the player can be dealt a card, even if the value of his hand is 5, depending on his choice.
Baccarat Punto Banco is similar to the first mentioned variety - Chemin de Fer. It uses 2, 3 or 4 decks - most often 3. There is a banker here, on both sides of which there can be up to 5 people. One hand is dealt to both sides of the table and players can bet a smaller amount than the pot. A player can only bet on a hand on his side of the table or on both hands on both sides. Every player can be a banker in this variety of baccarat. The difference is that the bank does not rotate. And the one who wants to play with the bank must say " Banco", as he is obliged to cover the banker's current bet and in case of victory he can be a banker until he loses to someone else. If a player has tried to take the pot three times but has lost to a banker, he is not entitled to more attempts. In different casinos, the rules may differ, so it is good to get acquainted with the rules of the table in advance.
